The well-established serviced office provider, Ventia Limited, was acquired by The Boutique Workplace Company in 2015 to form one aligned company. Their aim is to create innovative, design-led workplaces that promote creativity and connectivity, leading the way in co-working. They have over 20 locations across London that provide a variety of facilities, ranging from meeting rooms and co-working areas to event spaces and serviced apartments.
The client's Golden Square office, located in London's hub for the film and music industry, is a Grade II listed building that retains many stunning period features. Hunter's provided a soft and loose furniture package.
The design brief for this project was in keeping with the style of this Georgian townhouse and its salubrious surroundings. The challenge was to achieve this grandeur within budget. The designer worked closely with the client in putting together a high-end specification. Our task was to source products to fulfill the designer's spectacular vision whilst keeping costs under tight control.
The specification was highly precise, so minute attention to detail was key to successful execution. Every tone and texture had to be carefully considered before pieces were selected.
An additional challenge was the long lead times associated with manufacturers of high end products. We had to closely manage the process of procurement, delivery and installation to ensure that the project ran without a glitch.
Desking, seating and other major pieces of furniture were already in place, leaving us to provide the adornment and more decorative pieces that would ignite the design scheme. Soft furnishings are essential to the visual integrity of any interior design. The style is a fusion of art deco with more contemporary geometric motifs.
Lighting from Foscarini is used along with wall mountings to conjure a space of chic sophistication and urbane refinement.
The client has subsequently asked us to provide furniture packages at two more of their locations.
