Clerkenwell Design Week 2026: Trends and products spotted

The Latest

As always, Team Hunters were present during Clerkenwell Design Week, taking the opportunity to catch up with suppliers and experience product launches shaping future design trends.

CDW is the leading UK design festival that brings together leading designers, architects, and interior brands across the industry. With our sales and design team visiting as many showrooms as possible, here’s an exclusive look at what they noticed:

TRENDS SPOTTED

Decorative and Patterned Fabrics

Expressive fabrics were hard to miss this year. There’s a clear move toward visually interesting textiles – something that echoes the nature-inspired designs spotted at 3daysofdesign 2025. Sunbury Design stood out in particular, with a fabric collection that offered real variety. There’s also been a rise of velvets, a nod to the on and off retro aesthetic that’s been trending in the past couple of years.

Modular seating

Modular systems had more range this year. Suppliers like Muuto, Workstories and Senator were showing solutions that stretched across different configurations, heights, functions and applications.

Luxury hospitality

Designers continue to take inspiration from the hospitality industry, creating more elevated spaces within workplaces. Rich colour palettes such as emerald green and mustard accents, and fluted detailing are creating spaces that feel similar to boutique hotels, members clubs and high-end residential interiors.

Natural materials

Suppliers are moving away from industrial-inspired interiors. Timber finishes, handcrafted details and styled accessories are bringing a softer, warmer environment.

PRODUCTS WORTH MENTIONING

These are the pieces our team noted either because they would suit a particular requirement, or because they’re simply worth keeping on your radar.

Swedese

A standout pieace was a lounge chair from Swedese with its mid-century inspired design, making it a natural fit for a reception area we’re currently working on.

Nth Degree

The outdoor collection embodied the Japandi feel, but what made these products special was the UK-based warehousing. For projects prioritising locally available furniture without compromising on that Scandinavian-influenced aesthetic, it’s a great option to have.

Ferm Living

Ferm Living blew our designers away with Scarni Sideboard handmade credenza with its craftmanship and fine detailing.

INDUSTRY FAVOURITES

These were products our clients were particularly drawn to during our curated showroom tours.
