As NHS approved supplier Barts Health NHS Trust asked Hunters to help them create a better working environment for there offices at 9 Prescot Street, Aldgate London.
Circulation space was very limited and inefficient. They struggled to maximise the space as they had 120 degree desks. NHS Trust asked Hunters to create a new space plan to help create a more efficient and agile workspace.
Creating a plan with efficient circulation space was the key to getting this project right. By using clusters of Freeway desking we were are able to increase each person’s desk size and create the much better flow around the office.
We supplied and installed power above the desking to allow users to plug-in and stay connected easily and installed monitor arms to lift the screens off the desks, creating more desk space. We procured Slimline pedestals to provide more legroom underneath the desks.
We worked with an NHS approved electrical engineer, CW Gosling, to correctly install the floor plates, mocking up one desking frame allowing the electrics to be accurately install across the approved floor plan.
With a tight time frame, we carried out the furniture removal and installation over a weekend. The result is space that feel’s much bigger, with a better circulation. Barts Health NHS Trust was delighted with the end result.
