Client Brief

The leading international events, digital services and academic knowledge business, Informa, hired Hunters to refurbish their London Victoria office.

As a long-standing client, they wanted to transform their workspace into a modern environment emphasising flexibility and functionality with a strong preference for Icons of Denmark furniture and Spacestor and MAX booths.

The project required careful planning to ensure minimal disruption since the refurbishing was happening whilst the client stayed on site.

Design Approach

Working closely with a freelance designer and fit-out partner, we delivered a design that reflected the new contemporary aesthetic whilst addressing operational challenges.

The refurbishment involved closing off half the floor at a time, removing existing furniture, fitting out the space, and installing new furnishings before moving on to the other half. This approach allowed Informa to continue working seamlessly throughout the six-month project timeline.

The furniture carefully selected to achieve the contemporary Scandinavian aesthetic include Muuto, Modus, MAX booths and Icons of Denmark. The design incorporated bespoke joinery and frosted plexiglass panels were used for space division whilst maintaining openness and collaboration.

Challenges & Results

The main challenge was managing the refurbishment whilst ensuring minimal disruption to Informa’s work. We implemented a phased approach and maintained close communication with Swift and Informa throughout, delivering the project on time and within budget.

The result is a contemporary new workspace that left our client extremely satisfied, enough to reach out to us for more projects.
