Client Brief

When two floors at Noland House in Soho became vacant, Stage RE, working alongside Artemis Interiors, needed a furniture consultancy who could help them deliver two well-considered, immediately lettable spaces. Having previously collaborated with us on projects including Cannon Street, they came back to Hunters.

Their ambition was simple: they wanted to create two floors that each had their own distinct identity, whilst maintaining a cohesive design language across the building.

Design Approach

We led the design across both floors, covering: furniture, layout and styling on the first floor in addition to kitchen design and paint colour selection – an extension of our usual remit.

Each floor was given a deliberately different character. The first floor leans into a rich, moody Soho aesthetic: dark finishes, walnut tones, and a plush, considered atmosphere. Despite being a compact space, we made every square metre count with a welcoming lounge on arrival, two touchdown tables, a meeting room, and a teapoint breakout area. We also handled the kitchen design and paint colours, as well as the overall styling.

The upper floor goes in a completely different direction. Terracotta, butter yellow, and lighter tones make it feel airy, warm, and home-like. The intention was to give Noland House two distinct brands within one building: tenants who want something moodier and more atmospheric have the first floor; those after something brighter and more relaxed have the upper one.

Challenges & Results

Ensuring compliance with the design intent throughout the project was the main challenge that we encountered. To ensure things kept on track throughout the process, we stayed present, adapted quickly, and kept pushing for solutions, which maintained our strong relationship with Stage RE and has meant that we are now involved in further projects with them.
