Talon is the UK’s only independently-owned Out of Home media specialist. Their experience goes beyond traditional OOH to encompass mobile and digital. They have a forward-looking ethos that aims to embrace technology at every turn.
Set up in 2007, they now handle Omnicom Media Group’s entire outdoor portfolio, meaning that they now coordinate outdoor works for such globally recognised brands as McDonalds, Sony, Cadburys and Google. Hunters managed the entire move project for the client as they relocated to their new office space in the heart of London’s West End.
We were involved from the very earliest stages of this relocation project, helping the client find a suitable property and drawing up space plans for the new site. From the moment the property was chosen, we had six weeks in which to deliver a fully operational workspace. Fitting our work around ongoing construction, this short timeframe had to include all fit out works and the selection and purchase of furniture.
Our intimate knowledge of lead times across manufacturers was crucial in ensuring that the project was completed on time. We knew from the outset what manufacturers could work to our tight schedule and so advised the client accordingly, giving alternative suggestions for those products the client wanted from those manufacturers who could not deliver on time.
Even more so than usual, close communication with the client was key. We offered recommendations for how best to utilise the space and what furniture best suited the client’s needs. We helped in designing the large multifunctional communal area that served not only as a canteen but also an area for meetings, presentations, and other forms of collaboration. The workspace had to be conducive to agile working.
The result is an adaptable workspace that looks and feels amazing, providing the client with the malleable functionality they need. The style is unique, spectacular yet still workmanlike. One of Senator’s newest finishes, Winter Oak, is used across many of the products to conjure this sense of innovation and dynamism. Desking throughout is from the Senator Chemistry range, with storage by Bisley.
The highlight of the completed project is the breakout area. A combination of high seating, panel end and long benches from Senator and soft seating from Allermuir create a versatile space that can be reoriented depending on function. The time pressure of this project meant that its successful completion was immensely satisfying. The space came out looking and feeling exactly how the client wanted it, together with functional flexibility and a distinct style.
