First State Investments is a global asset management business that manages investments on behalf of institutional investors and pension funds, wholesale distributors and platforms, financial advisers and their clients.

They have grown rapidly in recent years and needed a new space that would accommodate their size and reflect their identity as a client facing global business.

The initial brief was to provide consultancy expertise on a high-spec project for 200 staff in the London (Finsbury Circus) office, but the client soon decided that they wanted us to procure and manage the instillation of the full furniture package too.

Working with the architect and contractors, we guided the client through various furniture options and advised on the combination that best suited their needs and budget.

Having never worked on a major project like this before, the client was reassured by the fact that our project team was constantly on top of the installation and any potential issues were anticipated and dealt with.

We selected bespoke DAS desking to suit the different needs of the staff and were able to accommodate the request to have cubical workstations in the available space. Vitra alcove sofas and stylish high-backed chairs created comfortable and professional breakout areas.

The café area looked chic and modern with Arper pieces and we even sourced durable yet sophisticated furniture for the roof terrace.
